Acceptance;

An open letter:

This message is for those of you who know who you are..

I am an adversary in leadership concerned with making the media advocating for community co-ops, non-governmental-organizations and, not-for-profits. As a contract developer, indie digital media producer working in some capacity with others, I have been responsible in part by creating content for local venues like NUVO Cultural Vision Award Winners Big Car, a community development art space and, Earth House, a “‘new age,’ ‘faith based’” living learning collective in Indianapolis, IN promoting all age events in a safe environment.

In the past, I have been responsible for creative content development, functioning in some capacity team building leadership in community service. Recently, I left a pretty good position as a pool director of aquatics working with youth in the public and private sectors of both Aquatics Management of Indianapolis and the Boy Scouts of America, for a national graphics production position with QuadGraphics @QG.com. Now, I am involved with a non-governmental not–for–profit agency in leadership building capacity for asset based community development.

I am familiar with AGLBTQPI; issues on gender, identity, sexuality and, false individuation—I am concerned with youth homelessness, teen suicide, egalitarianism and gender equality: I have had experience with it in my youth; a friend came out in high school; I lived with two gay room mates four years in college; one of the women I dated, came out later as trans: Alex. Alison. Anda. Ashley. Brittany. Claire. Diane. Julia, Julie, Melanie, Melissa, Kailee, Kai, Sophie, Tanya; I never understood why bi-sexual women were so attracted to me…. Because aspects of their character and, attributes of their personality, are attractive to me—by virtue of their countenance, only, overall demeanor, not simply physical features.

Although, I do not feel as different towards them, than I do towards others, this matter is a personal one. My college room mate came out to me and, asked me to be there for him when he told his parents. I am glad I could do that much too. I believe my cousin has since committed suicide because of it. I am not convinced this is not why. I know them. I see them too. The struggle is real. I can only imagine how much pain and suffering it must have caused. I only wish I could have been there for him. He was a talented pianist. Now, we are left to wonder what could have been, and watch his mother, battle severe clinical depression.

However, it is for these reasons I am interested in getting organized with co-ops, kick starters, charitable foundations entrepreneuring and providing promotional support of, in partnerships with small business development computer laboratories for all youth, like after school programs for at risk youth sponsoring STEAM. Acceptance; power, pride, prejudice, race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, sexuality, egalitarianism and, inequality: are all going to take a great deal of effort together in order to gain a mutual respect for and, appreciation of each other in order to understand one another.

I am writing to confirm receipt of this message; well received—thanks for noticing.
